Board of Directors
The Cogiscan board of directors is comprised of experienced members of the electronics industry that have successful track records with business development of high technology companies.
- Michel Brule is President of M&M Investments and Chairman of the Board for Cogiscan. M&M Investments provides services to help young companies achieve a successful first or second round of financing. Since 1979, Mr. Brule has been involved in the founding of six technology companies. Most notably, he was co-founder and Executive VP of InnoMediaLogic. Mr. Brule holds both a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
- Jean-Pierre Provençal founded InterTrade Systems, and served as the company's CEO until November of 2006. InterTrade is a B2B Managed Service provider and Cisco Technology Development Partner that enables the network to integrate business systems across the trading community, so people can benefit from eBusiness conversations. Until spring of 2000, JP was Vice President, Business Development for the Supply Chain division of the Baan Company, a Dutch-based public company. Prior to that he was a Partner and Vice President of Sales for the Berclain Group, a world leader in Supply Chain Software Solutions before its merger with the Baan Company in 1997. He also spent 5 years at Hewlett-Packard in various sales and marketing positions for the manufacturing market after studies in automated production engineering at École de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal.
- Normand Chartrand has served the financial sector for more than twenty years. He has held senior roles with a number of fast growing companies and venture capital organizations. Normand has spent most of his career financing and operating emerging and developing companies. He has served as CFO and VP of Finance and Administration at Locus Dialogue Inc., Nertec Design Inc., LTRIM Technologies Inc., and Kangaroo TV Inc.. Normand is a graduate of the Haute Etudes Commerciales de Montreal, with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités du Québec.
- Gérald St-Aubin is Vice President of Business Development for Desjardins Venture Capital. Mr. St-Aubin has many years of experience with the Desjardins Group. He is an active member of the Boards of AudiSoft Technologies, Distech Contrôles and A2M. Mr. St-Aubin holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
- John Naismith is currently working with a top tier EMS as a Global Account Executive. He is a versatile senior executive with over 35 years of experience at IBM Canada Ltd. and C-MAC Industries. John’s experience includes: general management of large and complex electronics manufacturing organizations; global supply chain management; change management; start-up of “Greenfield Manufacturing Operations”; and all aspects of mergers and acquisitions. John has a Graduate degree in Metallurgy as well as numerous awards for excellence in manufacturing and supply chain management.
- Maks Wulkan is President of Winvest Inc., a Montreal-based investment company. Prior to 2001, Mr. Wulkan was Executive Vice-President and co-founder of Eicon Networks, a world-wide supplier of remote-access products for personal computers and on-line systems. Mr. Wulkan holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering form University of Waterloo and an ME degree in Computer Science from Princeton University.
