RFID Smart Feeder

Cogiscan’s revolutionary RFID Smart Feeder retrofit kit is robust and flexible enough for use on all SMT placement machine types. The Cogiscan RFID smart feeder system enables error-proof traceability and feeder set-up validation. It can be used in combination with Cogiscan software applications, or can be integrated with feeder set-up verification or traceability software from third-party suppliers, to enhance the performance and reliability of the existing system.   The RFID Smart Feeder system can be retrofitted to an existing SMT placement machine in the field. The customer’s inventory of “dumb” feeders can be easily and economically converted to “Smart” feeders.

1. An RFID Antenna Array is mounted on the feeder bank of the placement machine and/or the offline feeder storage rack.
2. A Cogiscan RFID tag is attached to each feeder.
3. RFID tags and RFID Antenna Arrays communicate to provide real-time location & usage information.
