Tracking the exact amount of materials used during the manufacturing of a product or work order is crtitical for cost calculations, accurate accounting, and maintaining adequate levels of inventory.

This Kitting software identifies materials needed for each product or work order. It automatically reconciles material kit requirements with the inventory system to ensure materials are available, and consumption is accurately accounted for on a job basis.

The software provides visibilty of kit readiness – identifying materials that are missing – to enable replenishment, and to effectively manage the offline setup process in preparation for product changeover. Cogiscan Kitting software also reduces errors by preventing operators using materials that are not authorized for any particular job.

If kit materials are not used, the system can return of remaining materials to stock after job completion on the manufacturing floor. Or, if there are excess materials in the kit, they can be assigned to the next job.
