In order to get a complete picture of your manufacturing environment, you have to collect data from different systems. You may need to pull information from ERP, MES, or internally developed solutions that communicate in very different ways.
Intelligent machines can generate and record valuable material and process data, and the Cogiscan Machine Communication system gives you the intuitive interface to understand and use that data.
The Cogiscan system is able to collect and standardize data from any kind of manufacturing equipment to provide detailed and comprehensive Track, Trace and Control (TTC) reports. This machine data becomes available to any Cogiscan TTC application, any other third-party software including ERP, MES, or any internally developed solutions.
The Cogiscan Machine Communication architecture is based on CAMX – the IPC industry standard protocol. The system comprises of a series of CAMX collection points that gather available data from specific machines in whatever form it is provided, and transforms it into a standard CAMX message for processing and distributing by a central CAMX message broker.
Cogiscan offers a vast library of CAMX adapters for leading brands and models of production equipment, and adapters to support new machine models can be developed upon request.
With Cogiscan Machine Communication, all of your systems and machines can provide information that gives you a complete picture of your manufacturing processes.
